24 Installing SAN Manager LM
Installing the Software
Note This section describes the basic SAN Manager LM installation procedure. To
read about advanced installation options, see “Customizing the SAN Manager
LM Installer” on page 176 and “Using SAN Manager LM’s Silent Install Mode” on
page 177.
1. Power up the computer.
2. Log on to the network with administrator level privileges.
Note When you configure SAN Manager LM (page 34), you must log on to the
network with domain administrator privileges.
3. To run the SAN Manager LM installer, do one of the following:
– Insert the SAN Manager LM CD in the CD drive. If autorun is enabled, inserting the
CD starts the installer automatically.
– If autorun is disabled or you are installing SAN Manager LM across a network, find
the selector.exe application and double-click it.
Note The selector.exe application is located in the root directory of the SAN Manager
LM CD-ROM.
