HP SureStore E SAN Manager LUN Management Administrator's Guide

158 Using CLARiiON’s Application Transparent Failover (ATF)
Registry Settings
Caution Editing the registry incorrectly may cause serious problems that will require
you to reinstall Windows NT. For more information about editing the registry,
see your Microsoft documentation.
On each host that will have access to the CLARiiON array, enter the registry settings in
Table 1 and restart the host to activate the registry changes.
Note If a registry path or value does not exist, create it. For instructions, see your
Microsoft documentation.
If the Update Windows NT registry for optimal SAN support option was
selected during installation, the ScanDisconnectedDevices and LunRescan
registry settings were automatically entered during installation. For hosts with
the HP SAN Manager LM QLogic HBA driver installed, the LargeLUNs registry
setting was also added automatically.
