Using CLARiiON’s Application Transparent Failover
(ATF)
Setting Up ATF with SAN Manager LM includes the following steps:
1. Set up the Fibre Channel SAN Hardware
2. Install the Host Software
3. Discover LUNs on Both Storage Processors (SPs)
4. Assign Failover Pairs
5. Install ATF on Hosts that will use the RAID
Set up the Fibre Channel SAN Hardware
For hardware setup instructions, see page 21.
Install the Host Software
Install SAN Manager LM
1. Install SAN Manager LM on all of the SAN hosts (see pages 23 through 33).
2. Set up the SAN Manager LM database (see pages 35 through 44).
3. Save the SAN Manager LM database to a file for backup purposes (see page 123).
