Restoring the Database from a File
1. Before restoring a database file, do one of the following:
Unassign all of the storage on the SAN.
Shut down all hosts on the SAN except for the host that is running the administration
application and unassign all of the storage that is assigned to the administration host.
Caution If storage has been left assigned to a host, and that host is not shut down
before restoring a database file, a multi-writer situation (which can cause
data corruption) may occur.
2. Click the Restore Database button or choose Database Restore Database from
File.
3. Navigate to the saved database file, and click Open.
Note You can also load a saved database file during the Create New Database
procedure. For instructions, see page 127.
4. If you shut down any hosts in step 1, restart those hosts.
