Moving Existing Operational Keys to Another SAN
In many SAN configurations, the SAN storage will be divided between multiple SANs
instead of being integrated into a single SAN. If you need to reconfigure your SAN, you can
remove an operational key from one SAN and install it on another SAN by using the
following procedure:
1. Open the SAN Manager LM administration application on the SAN that you want to
remove the key(s) from.
2. Click the Manage License Keys button or choose View Licenses.
3. Identify the operational key(s) that you want to remove from this SAN and record the
key serial number(s).
Note The serial number of a license key is the number listed in the Installed License
Keys pane of the Licenses dialog box. For example, the serial number of the
first license key in the illustration on the previous page is 122.
4. Select the key and press Delete.
SAN Manager LM prompts you to confirm the license key removal.
5. Click Yes.
The key will disappear from the Licenses dialog box.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for additional keys that will be re-registered.
7. Open the SAN Manager LM administration application on the SAN that will receive the
operational key(s).
