1 Release summary
IMPORTANT: HP StoreFront Mobile Access server software is updated from version 1.1 to version
1.2.9. The Android app is updated to version 1.2.9. The iOS app is not changed and remains at
version 1.1. See compatibility information below.
HP StoreFront Mobile Access includes server software, an Android app and an iOS app. The
server software and apps work together to provide secure access for monitoring HP 3PAR StoreServ
storage from mobile devices. Mobile phones can connect to HP StoreFront Mobile Access servers
by Wi-Fi and cellular networks.
What’s new compared to version 1.1
• HP StoreFront Mobile Access server software adds support for HP 3PAR OS 3.1.1 MU3 P27
and HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2 MU3 P16 patch releases.
• The HP StoreFront Mobile Access Android app adds support for Android 4.4 (KitKat).
What’s new compared to version 1.0
• HP StoreFront Mobile Access server software adds support for HP 3PAR OS 3.1.1 MU3 P27
and HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2 MU3 P16 patch releases.
• The HP StoreFront Mobile Access Android app adds support for Android 4.4 (KitKat).
• iPhone support. An iOS app and support for iPhones is added. See the HP StoreFront Mobile

• HP Slate 7 support. Support for HP Slate 7 tablets is added.
• Server improvements. The HP StoreFront Mobile Access server retrieves HP 3PAR storage
information more efficiently.
• Mobile device access limit. Administrators can now limit the number of mobile devices that

• iOS notification level. Administrators can manage the iOS notification level. See the HP
StoreFront Mobile Access 1.1 User Guide for details.
• Session timeouts. Administrators can manage session timeouts. See the HP StoreFront Mobile

Compatibility and prerequisites
• HP StoreFront Mobile Access server software version 1.2.9 is compatible with version 1.1 of
the HP StoreFront Mobile Access iOS app. HP StoreFront Mobile Access server software
version 1.2.9 is not compatible with version 1.0 and version 1.1 of the HP StoreFront Mobile
Access Android app.
• HP StoreFront Mobile Access is compatible with HP 3PAR StoreServ model T, F, StoreServ
10000, and StoreServ 7000 systems that are running HP 3PAR Operating System versions
3.1.1 and 3.1.2, including the HP 3PAR OS 3.1.1 MU3 P27 and HP 3PAR OS 3.1.2 MU3
P16 patch releases.
• HP StoreFront Mobile Access server software must be installed on Windows Server 2008 or
2008 R2.
• The HP StoreFront Mobile Access Android app is compatible with Android 2.3.3 and later.
• The HP StoreFront Mobile Access iOS app is compatible with iOS 6.0 and later.
