of the OCP or RMI.
4. If replacing the base module controller, upgrade
the firmware if necessary.
To find the most up-to-date firmware version, visit
the http://www.hp.com/support website. If
necessary, download the firmware files.
Update the firmware from the RMI
Maintenance→Software Upgrades→System
Firmware screen or using HP Library & Tape Tools
(L&TT).
NOTE: L&TT can be downloaded without
charge from www.hp.com/support/
tapetools.
5. If replacing the base module controller, restore
the previous settings by restoring them from a file
of saved settings, or by entering them using the
OCP or RMI.
IMPORTANT: If you are asked whether
or not to retain the serial number, always
select Yes.
6. If the UID LEDs are still illuminated, deactivate
them using the OCP or RMI.
7. Resume the host applications.
