1. Plastic shim at bottom
Removing a robot from the left side of the frame
1. Lift the robot up and remove the plastic shim and
the blue tape securing it to the floor of the frame.
2. Move the robot to the correct position under the
loader bracket, and then lift and slide out the
robot using the correct slot.
3. Place the robot in a secure location outside of the
frame.
Inspect the contents of the kit
Two silver and two gold keys are shipped with each
module. The gold keys open the service door. The
silver keys work on both the access and service doors.
All modules are keyed the same, so there is no chance
that a customer who has two or more modules could
end up with different keys. All keys are to be left with
the customer.
NOTE: Access to the interior of the library is
both a data integrity and a safety issue.
The library can be ordered in different configurations.
Based on your configuration, check that the following
items are included with the library and that all are in
good condition.
Library components:
Ordered number of tape drives
One library power cable, two for modules with
a redundant power supply
Ethernet expansion blade (EEB) (1 per 6 tape
drives)
One shielded Ethernet cable per tape drive
Library field service kit, delivered with each Control
Module:
Ethernet crossover cable
Service kit
Velcro cable clamps
Velcro hook and loop straps
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap
Install the module
Locate the printed installation instructions that shipped
with the module, and follow the instructions provided.
Printed library installation instructions for the Control
Module, Expansion Module, HDEM, and/or Parking
Module are provided depending on your
configuration. If the printed instructions cannot be
found, download them from HP Services Access
Workbench (SAW).
