Remove the existing LMM fan assembly
1. Locate the LMM fan assembly cover plate. It is
directly above the LMD and RCU cards, and
directly below the I/O management unit.

2. Loosen the thumbscrew and remove the LMM fan
assembly cover plate.
3. Straighten the cable clamp that is retaining the
two LMM fan assembly cables to free the cables.

4. Unplug the two LMM fan assembly cables from
the LMM backplane connectors. It is best to
unplug each cable separately.

3. Handle
5. Press down on the latch above the handle, then
grasp the handle and pull the fan out of the
module.
