HP StoreEver Enterprise Systems Library (ESL) G3 Tape Library Control Module Installation Instructions

• 24 mm wrench
• 6 mm hex wrench or 16 mm open end wrench
• Digital level (included in the CM Accessory kit)
Install the control module
1. Complete the instructions in HP StoreEver
Enterprise Systems Library (ESL) G3 Tape Library
Control Module or Expansion Module Unpacking
Instructions.
2. Open the service door to the module.
3. Attach the ESD strap to your wrist and to an
unpainted surface inside the door.
4. On the power distribution unit(s), set the power
switch to the down (0) position to turn power off.

5. Remove the plastic cap from the top of the
module.

6. Insert the power cable(s) through the hole
previously covered by the plastic cap into the top
of the module.
NOTE: The power cable(s) may also be
routed from the floor through the access
hole in the bottom of the module.
7. Plug the power cable into the power supply unit.
If a redundant power supply was part of this
order, install it as per the included instructions,
then plug both of the power cables into the power
supply units.
