Description
The IBRIX software release version 6.2.1 provides a number of important bug fixes and enhancements.
Update eligibility
Customers running IBRIX 9000 File Serving Software 6.1, 6.0, 5.6, 5.5, 5.4.1, or 5.4.0 are eligible
for the update. Refer to the administrator guide for your storage system for specific update requirements
and procedures. Customers running IBRIX 9000 File Serving Software 6.1 or earlier versions should
contact HP Support to determine compatibility before updating their software.
IMPORTANT: Some systems shipped from the factory with version 6.2. All systems running the 6.2
software release should be reimaged to at least the 6.2.1 release before being put into service. You
can identify whether a server is running the correct version by logging into the console for that server.
You will see output similar to the following:

If the first portion of the version number indicates a version of 6.2.0 (rather than 6.2.1 or later), your
system must be upgraded by reimaging to the 6.2.1 release using the 6.2.1 Quick Restore (QR) image
and QR process before continuing. This upgrade is part of the initial installation of your system by HP.
