You may need to change your Fibre Channel adapter settings to optimize the
I/O performance of the disk array. The following instructions are for the QLogic
QLA2100/QL A2200 and the Emulex LightPulse LP6000E, LP7000/E, and LP8000 Fibre
Channel adapters. If you are using a different Fibre Channel adapter to connect the disk
array, please contact the HP service representative for assistance.

Configuring a QLogic QLA 2100F/QLA2200F Fibre
Channel adapter
1. During sy stem start-up, press Ctrl-Q to run the QLogic Fast! utility.
2. Select “Option Configu ration Settings,” and then “Host Adapter Set tings.”
3. Verify the following settings:
host ada pter BIOS: disabled
frame size: 2048
execution t hrottle: 2 (use 8 instead of 2 if you are configuring only LUSE devices)
4. Select “Adapter Hard ID Settings” and verify the following settings:
adapter hard ID: enabled
hard ID: less than all 7700E por t addresses
