The XP family of dis
k arrays supports standard Simple Network Management Protocol
(SNMP) as an aid fo
r disk array management. The SNMP agent on the ser vice processor
(SVP) performs er
ror-reporting operations requested by the SNMP manager. SNMP
properties are u
sually set from the SVP but they can also be set remotely using Remote
Web Console XP ,
Command View XP, or Command View XP Advanced Edition. Refer to
the applicable user’s guide for procedures.
RAID Manager command devices
RAID Manager manages Business Copy (BC) or Continuous Access (CA) operations
fro m a host ser ver. To use RAID Manager with BC or CA, you use Remote Web Console,
Command View, or Command View XP Advanced Edition to designate at least one LDEV
as a command device. Refer to the applicable user’s guide for information about how to
designa
te a c ommand device.
