HP StorageWorks Disk Array XP operating system configuration guide: MPE/iX (A5951-96145, November, 2005)

Follow this procedure if you have an existing boot disk:
1. Perform a normal boot and start of the system from the existing boot disk.

2. Run IOCONFIG to add the new Fibre Channel HBAs to the existing system’s I/O
configuration (or run SYSGEN if you prefer, but that will require a system reboot
after the confi guration has been modified) . You s hould have recorded the I/O
paths for the HBAs when the HBAs were installed. In this example, the A6795A
Fibre Channel HBA was installed at I/O p ath 0/6/0/0.
