raidcom check_ext_storage external_grp
Specifies the external volume group, check the connection for the external VOL, and then restart
using. One external VOL is operated in one operation.
An LDEV or a device group can be specified instead of the external volume group.
• If an LDEV is specified: It searches the external volume groups where the relevant LDEV belongs
to, and the result is displayed in the console window.
• If a device group is specified: It searches the external volume groups where the LDEV belonging
to the relevant device group belongs to, and the result is displayed in the console window.
Example
EGRP 1-1(0x1-0x1) will be used for LDEV# 200
If no LDEV exists in the external volume, it is denied with EX_ENOOBJ command.
Syntax
raidcom check_ext_storage external_grp {- external_grp_id <gno-sgno> | -ldev_id <ldev#>
| -grp_opt <group option> -device_grp_name <device group name> [<device name>]}
Options and parameters

Specifies an external volume group number (gno:1-16384, sgno:1-4096).-external_grp_id
<gno-sgno>
For example:
• 52-11
Specifies a CU:LDEV hexadecimal address double octet or an LDEV number (0-65279) or a
range.
-ldev_id <ldev#> …
For example:
• -ldev_id AB:CD
• -ldev_id 43981
• -ldev_id 01:2C-01:31
Specifies the device information extracted from the LDEV belonging to the device group. Specify
“ldev” (fixed). The information of LDEV belonging to the device group is used.
-grp_opt
<group option>
Specifies the name of device group (max. 32 characters).-device_grp_name
To operate an LDEV in the device group, specify the device name of LDEV (max. 32 characters)
within the device group.
<device group name>
[<device name>]
If the device name is omitted, all the LDEVs belonging in the device group are oerated.

raidcom check_ext_storage external_grp -external_grp_id 1-1
