a report, an error message will appear that states: “Error Connecting to
reporter”.
To workaround this issue, make sure the domain the client is located in
can resolve the Storage Mirroring Reporting Center server name used
during the installation. If a fully-qualified domain name is used during
the installation, the client must be able to resolve this name and not just
the NETBIOS name.
9. Some System Settings, such as logging levels and email server
information, may not persist through a Storage Mirroring Reporting
Center upgrade.
10.If the collector was unable to collect certain data during a poll, that field
will appear as a blank space in the report. Typically this will clear itself
after more polling intervals have passed.
11. When installing the Storage Mirroring Reporting Center server, you
cannot use IP addresses. Instead, you must use the fully-qualified domain
name (FQDN) or the UNC name (domain\server) for the machine.
12 . If a failover condition has been met, the Monitor Status will continue to
display the status “Failover Condition Met”, even when the Failover
Control Center shows that the state is “Monitoring”. To update this field,
you can remove the monitor, then re-create it.
13. If you query a non-Storage Mirroring server, an “unspecified” SMRC
Collector error will be returned.
14. When Server Nodes are unassigned and then assigned to different
Group Nodes, both the Group Node and the Server Nodes lose most of
the properties associated with right-clicking on the node. Right-click on
the Server node and select Configuration, then Properties. Click “OK” to
restore.
15. If you add a server node to a GUI-only install, that server will not appear
in the Storage Mirroring Reporting Center Server console. To force the
Storage Mirroring Reporting Center server to recognize the added server
nodes, you must re-start the GUI console on the Storage Mirroring
Reporting Center Server.
