Storage Mirroring Reporting Center release notes
• The collection server should meet the following minimum hardware
requirements:
• At least 1 GB of physical memory
• At least 10 GB of free hard disk space
• Intel P4-compatible CPU running at 1.2 GHz or higher
Known Issues
If you are uncertain about the issues or workarounds addressed in this
readme file, contact Hewlett-Packard Technical Support.
1. Duplicate connections may appear in a Connections report. Generally
this will be seen as a connection listed by server name, and the same
connection listed by the fully-qualified domain name of the source server.
This typically will appear if the time period selected for the report
includes the time that the server node was configured in Storage
Mirroring Reporting Center.
2. When moving nodes between groups, a server node can be cut and
pasted to a higher level in the tree, but not to a lower, nested level.
To workaround this issue, shutdown then restart the Storage Mirroring
Reporting Center interface, then use the Unassign and Assign functions
to move the server if necessary.
3. The Add/Remove programs applet will not uninstall the SQL VSS Writer,
SQL Native Client, and SQL Support Files. These files are left behind by
the SQL Express installer and may be uninstalled individually if desired.
4. If a Group Node containing servers is deleted, the servers do not appear
in the Unassigned Node list. The servers must be deleted using the Node
Editor and then recreated. Then they can be assigned to the desired
Group Node.
5. Virtual Windows XP clients hosted by Windows Virtual Server may not
display the lines connecting the various sub-elements in the hierarchy
tree in the GUI. This issue does not appear on Windows XP clients hosted
on hardware.
6. After eleven or more non-Storage Mirroring servers are added, Storage
Mirroring Reporting Center will no longer generate reports and it will
appear that Storage Mirroring Reporting Center has stopped collecting
data. After removing the non-Storage Mirroring systems, Storage
Mirroring Reporting Center will not restart data collection for up to 24
hours. Contact Hewlett-Packard Support for a work-around to this issue.
7. The Storage Mirroring Reporting Center server cannot gather data from
Storage Mirroring servers operating on non-standard Storage Mirroring
ports.
8. The Storage Mirroring Reporting Center client is unable to connect to a
collector in a foreign domain. The client will connect to the collector and
display the configuration information only. If a user attempts to generate
