J.4 Syntax of the configure array command
The syntax of the configure array command is as follows:
configure array array_numbers [adm_lun=yes|no] [adm_lun_size=size]
[service_lun=yes|no]
[luns_size=size|size%[,size|size%,...][all]] [raid=ADG|6|5|1+0|1|0]
[stripe_size=8|16|32|64|128|256] [sectors=32|63] [disks_per_group=num_disks]
[spare_disk_count=num_disks] [force=yes|no] [preferred_server=server_name]
[rebuild_priority=low|medium|high] [surface_scan_delay=delay_period]
Table J-1 describes the arguments that you can specify with the configure array command, and
shows the default value for each.
Table J-1 The configure array command arguments
Argument Description Default Value
array_numbers Required. Specify the array numbers of the
arrays you want to configure. You can
specify a single array, a comma-separated
list of arrays, or a range of arrays.
N/A
adm_lun The configure array command
automatically creates the administration
LUN for the system on the lowest numbered
array attached to the administration and
MDS server pair. A spare administration
LUN is created on every other array
attached to the administration and MDS
server pair.
If you do not want an administration LUN
or a spare administration LUN to be
configured on the array, specify no in this
argument. However, there must be one
administration LUN for the system.
Do not use this argument for arrays
connected to Object Storage Servers.
The administration LUN for the
system is created on the lowest
numbered array attached to the
administration and MDS server
pair. A spare administration LUN
is created on every other array
attached to the administration
and MDS server pair.
N/A for arrays connected to
Object Storage Servers
adm_lun_size Specifies the size of the administration LUN
(and the spare administration LUN). Size is
specified in GB.
Do not use this argument for arrays
connected to Object Storage Servers.
40
(N/A for arrays connected to
Object Storage Servers)
service_lun The configure array command
automatically creates the service LUN for a
server pair on the lowest numbered array
attached to the server pair. A spare service
LUN is created on every other array
attached to the server pair.
If you do not want a service LUN or a
spare service LUN to be configured on the
array, specify no in this argument.
However, there must be one service LUN
for each server pair.
The service LUN is created on the
lowest numbered array attached to
a server pair, and a spare service
LUN is created on every other array
attached to the server pair.
