6.8.2.5 Configuring Quadrics interconnects
To configure a Quadrics Interconnect, enter a on the Configure Quadrics Interconnect menu to
select the All of the above option. When prompted, enter the Quadrics Machine ID (identified in your
preinstallation planning in Section 2.4 and recorded in the worksheet in Table B-4).
Example 6-8 shows the Configure Quadrics Interconnect menu.

This section is used to configure the Quadrics network on all servers.
This network is used as an interconnect to client systems. If you do not
have a Quadrics interconnect you can proceed to the next section.

6.8.3 Entering site network information
Use the Network Services menu to enter the site network information that you gathered in your
preinstallation planning in Section 2.5 and recorded in the worksheet in Table B-5.
Example 6-9 shows the Network Services menu in a configured system that is attached to the
16.123.123 site network.

NOTE: The time on the servers and client nodes does not need to be synchronized in order for Lustre to
work correctly; however, if the system time drifts compared to other external systems, diagnosis of logs will
be more difficult. HP strongly recommends that NTP is used on the servers and on client nodes, and that
the servers and client nodes are synchronized, to make support easier.
Proceed to Section 6.8.4 to enter the management network information.
