1.8.3.3 Section 3.2.1 Prerequisites for the SFS client enabler
• Additional standard Linux packages that are required when building OFED but that are not installed
by default:
• pciutils-devel
•tcl-devel
• Additional OFED patches — Where you are using OFED sources not provided by HP, you may need
to apply patches to the sources to fix bugs that were in released versions of sources. The patches are
on the HP StorageWorks Scalable File Share Client Software DVD-ROM in various subdirectories
under client_enabler/src/common/ofed/patches/. See the Release Note additions of
Section 3.2.7 for details of the additional patches.

The build_SFS_client.sh sample script now also supports the following kernels:
• RHEL4 Update 5 (2.6.9-55.0.9.EL)
• RHEL4 Update 6 (2.6.9-67.0.4.EL)
• SLES10 SP1 (2.6.16.27-0.9)

In step 3 "OpenFabrics interconnect," when passing in an alternative OFED source archive to the
configuration script, add the option --private_ofed to the command line.
