The components on the rear of a KVM switch include:
1. Power connector
2. Power switch
3. Activity indicator light
4. Serial download connector
5. Connection to keyboard
6. Connection to monitor
7. Connection to mouse
8. RJ-45 interface port
9. Server connection ports
A PS/2 interface adapter (Figure 2-18 “KVM Cable Connections”) is connected to the PS/2 keyboard
and mouse connectors and video connector on the rear of the administration and MDS servers
and the storage management appliance. A CAT5 cable with RJ45 connectors connects the PS/2
interface adapter to the KVM switch port.
