(Optional) PCI Express interconnect adapter. The left-hand slot
on the server can be used for one of the following interconnect
connections:
• A single-port PCI Express InfiniBand HCA adapter
• A dual-port PCI Express adapter for a dual or bonded Gigabit
Ethernet interconnect
Alternatively, in systems where a dedicated Gigabit Ethernet
interconnect is used but is not attached to the site network, an
Ethernet adapter can be used in the left-hand slot on the
administration server and the MDS server to connect to the site
network.

• Where EVA storage is used, the right-hand PCI Express slot
is used for a PCI Express Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter
(HBA).
• Where SFS20 storage is used, a PCI-X riser is used to convert

slot is used for the Smart Array 6404 adapter.
