2.2.2 HP SFS System Server Configurations
The MDS and administration servers are ProLiant DL380 servers. Their configuration is described
in “Administration and MDS ProLiant DL380 Server Configuration”. The Object Storage Servers
may be ProLiant DL380 or ProLiant DL360 servers. Their configuration is described in “ProLiant
DL380 Object Storage Server Configuration” and “ProLiant DL360 Object Storage Server
Configuration”.
2.2.2.1 Administration and MDS ProLiant DL380 Server Configuration
The ProLiant DL380 MDS server and administration server configuration is as follows:
• Processors:
— DL380 G4: Dual Intel Xeon 3.20 Ghz/800 MHz FSB processors with 1-MB L3 cache
— DL380 G5: Dual-core Intel® Xeon™ 5000 and 5100 series processors with 4MB Level 2

• Memory:
— DL380 G4: 4GB PC2-3200R 400 MHz DDR2
