1.7 Problems fixed in HP SFS Version 2.3
This section describes problems that were present in earlier versions of the HP SFS software, but have been
fixed in HP SFS Version 2.3. Related bug numbers are shown where possible.
• (8106) A race condition occurred in ksocknal_terminate_conn leading to the following
assertion logged in the client system logs: ASSERTION(list_empty(&conn-
>ksnc_tx_queue)).
• (8105) configure server failed with Failed to find a lun in the database with a role
= service when the service lun did not have a user defined.
• (8076) sfsmount did not correctly recheck the IB state when the IB port was not initially ready on a
client node.
• (8073) Unreadable sfsmgr show file output when the OST number exceeds 3 digits.
• (8068) sfsconfig did not correctly recognize mlx cards as memfree boards.
• (8049) Syscheck did not check the version of IB firmware correctly.
• (8039) show server displayed the run state of services incorrectly as an entry in the
hpls_status_values table was incorrectly purged.
• (8034) Service sendmail restart failed in logrotate on OSS nodes because / was world writeable.
This fix changes the permissions of / on OSS nodes to 0755.
• (8025) sfsconfig processes multiple include directives in /etc/modules.conf incorrectly.
• (7999) An assertion/LBUG occurred on an OSS node with the following logged to the evlview logs:
ASSERTION(qctxt->lqc_import).
• (7997) service sfs generates an sfsmount -o lconf option for lnet addresses.
• (7994) syscheck did not display all storage warnings.
• (7973) sfsconfig with multi-gigE, in the case where a client has two interfaces defined, should
choose the first address on the server for the /etc/sfstab and not the first address on the client.
• (7921) Server kernel changes as per CVE-2007-4573 security advisory.
• (7911) Modified the restart timeout mechanism in lsmon_scripts to prevent timeouts on restarting
lsmon_scripts.
• (7894) group_upcall: UID interpreted as signed short versus unsigned short.
• (7884) Expire client ldlm locks older than ns_max_age.
• (7867) Don't report "parity initialization failed" array status as critical.
• (7851) Getting hpls_backup_database: bad filesystem errors because admspare was not
partitioned.
• (7863) OFED InifiBand modules start where VIB modules are configured when switching between
these interconnects.
• (7814) Various collectl changes, web interface was showing no collectl data as
collate_perf_stats was not working correctly.
• (7787) Autorecover from stale LAST_ID by seeking forward.
• (7780)
sfsconfig: pass on arguments -c SERVERS CACHEFILE to sfsmount.
• (7761) sfsconfig failure on XC client first boot when the USER environment variable was undefined.
