1.2.1 Support added for the OpenFabric Enterprise Distribution (OFED)
InfiniBand software stack
Prior releases of HP SFS supported the Voltaire InfiniBand Interconnect. HP SFS Version 2.2-1 supports
InfiniBand interconnects running the OpenFabric Enterprise Distribution OFED-1.1. OFED is open source
software distributed by the OpenFabrics alliance:
http://www.openfabrics.org/
HP SFS Version 2.2-1 introduces a new o2ib LND (Lustre Networking Device layer) to support the OFED
stack. Although the Voltaire and OFED stacks are compatible at the IP layer, the o2ib and vib InfiniBand
LNDs are incompatible. Client and server hosts must run the same InfiniBand LND.
1.2.2 Improved SFS20 firmware and a new firmware download method
Improved diagnostics
With the release of SFS20 firmware Version 2.02 and later it is possible to retrieve diagnostic logs
from an SFS20 using the hpaducli command.
The command retrieves logs for all attached SFS20 units attached to the server which the command is
run on.
To collate the logs into file /tmp/adu.txt run:
# hpaducli -f /tmp/adu.txt
