Installing other applications or libraries when HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager
5.3 is already installed
IMPORTANT:
HP P6000 Command View must be upgraded to version 9.4 before upgrading to HP P6000
Replication Solutions Manager 5.3.
HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Server 5.1 is not supported with HP Command View
EVA 9.3.
HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Server 5.2 is not supported with HP Command View
EVA 9.2.
If HP Command View for Tape Libraries 2.6 is installed, you must remove it before installing HP
Command View EVA 9.3.
Installing HP P6000 Command View with HP Command View for Tape Libraries
IMPORTANT:
HP Command View for Tape Libraries 2.4 is a limited release that is available upon request. For
more information, contact your HP representative.
HP recommends that you install HP Command View for Tape Libraries 2.6 before installing HP
P6000 Replication Solutions Manager to avoid Postgre SQL error messages.

Replication manager restrictions
The following restrictions apply:
The replication manager supports 2,048 LUNs per array.
HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager 5.3 is not backward compatible with HP P6000
Command View 9.1 or earlier.
For information about operating system support, see Table 4.2, "Supported P6000 software
operating environments," in the HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array Compatibility Reference.
HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Host Agent 5.2 and later is not supported with VMDirect
settings.
HP P6000 Business Copy jobs from HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager and ESX Server
4.0/4.1 with VMFS or RDM volumes are not supported using job templates. Only the Replication
Wizard option is supported.
Using HP DButil with SQL
NOTE: Support for DBUtil is limited. For more information, see the HP P6000 Enterprise Virtual Array
Compatibility Reference.
You can use HP DButil to prepare any SQL Server database for backup. If you use HP DButil, you must
use the replication manager to create the snapshot, snapclone, or fractured mirrorclone. Do not use
HP DButil with other backup solutions such as HP Storage System Scripting Utility or HP P9000
Command View Advanced Edition. For more information about HP DButil, see the HP StorageWorks
DButil User Guide.
