Event Viewer
The Event Vie
wer shows the critical and recover y events that have occurred in system services or
applications. You can also use the Event Viewer to search for events by type.
The following information is displayed in the Event Viewer.

Feature
Description
Event
Information describing the event, including the service or application
name.
Machine Type
Thetypeofserveronwhichtheeventoccurred.
IP Address
The IP address of the machine on which the event occurred.
Date
Thedateandtimeoftheevent.
Level
Status of the event:
Critical
Recovery (Recovery represents a transition from a critical status
value to the normal status value.)

Searching the Event Viewer
To search the Event Viewer:
1. SelectaSearchTypeinthedrop-downlist.
You can choose from the following types of searches:
•ShowAllAlerts
•ErrorLevel
•HostName
•ClassName

2. In the Search Criteria text box, enter the criteria for the search.
