HP StorageWorks Reference Information Storage System V1.5 Administrator Guide (T3559-96044, June 2006)

C Collec tin g held messages for HP
technical su pport
The Get Held Messages Notes application recovers mail.box m essages that are in the Hold state, so
they can be used for RISS and RIM diagnostics.
After the application recovers a held message from mail.box, it resubmits the message to the router

The number of retries can be configured. After the maximum number of retries, the message is saved in
Get Held Messages and is not returned to mail.box.
