ll), S-
(secondary cell), or R- (replication cell).

Each smart cell's life cycle state. See "Smar t cell life cycle states"
on page 28.
Ifcellstatecannotbedetermined,anoteindicatestheprimary(orsecondary)
cell is lost.
• Smart cell's general current life cycle state:
• green (normal state): ASSIGNED, CLOSED, FREE
• yellow (maintenance state): DISCOV ERY, COMPLETE_PROCESSING,
BACKING_UP,SYNC_WAIT,RESET,RESTORE
• red (failure state): DEAD, SUSPENDED
Unaffiliated Smart Cells Smart cells not currently affiliated with any domain (not belonging to a smart cell
group). These are reserve cells you can use when needed. Cell descriptions are
the same as those in domain lists. Unaffiliated cells are in the FREE or RESET
life cycle state.

Displaying hosts
In the View Cell Space view, under SMTP Por tals, HTTP Por tals, M etaServer, or TSC-NAT, click a name.
The Agent view appears.
Displaying host names of smart cells in domain-affiliated smart cell groups
1. In the View Cell Space view, find the smart cell's domain.
2. Find the smart cell's smart cell group identification number. Host nam es of smart cells in the sm art
cell group appear beneath the smar t cell group identification number.
