Disabling notifications by scheduling service or host downtimes
1. In the
Scheduled Service Downtime
or the
Scheduled Host Downtime
section,
click
Schedule service downtime
or
Schedule host downtime
. The
External
Command Interface
appears.
2. In the
Command Options
section, enter the following information:
Host Name
Service
(appears in the Schedule service downtime only)
Author (Your Name)
Comment
Start Time
End Time
Note:
Fields in red, including
Comment
, are required. If you do not enter
a comment, you are informed that “an error occurred while
processing your command.”
3. To limit downtime to specified start and end times, click to select the
Fixed
check box.
To use flexible downtime for service, leave the
Fixed
check box
unselected, and enter information in the
Duration
fields.
Note:
When
Fixed
is not selected, scheduled downtime is flexible: it
starts between specified start and end times as soon as a
problem is detected (
UNREACHABLE
or
DOWN
status value for
host, non-
OK
for service).
4. Click
Commit
to save changes, or click
Reset
to clear input fields.
