HP IAP Procedure For Recovering Primary/Secondary SmartCells From Replica SmartCells Whitepaper

8
Summary
This document provides one potential example of an IAP disaster recovery procedure by outlining
how to recover primary/secondary SmartCells from replica SmartCells. It takes advantage of one of
the key IAP features (data replication), which results in improved systems and data availability by
maintaining redundant, continuously updated resources in a separate location. This enables timely
disaster recovery of current, up-to-date data in case of a complete failure of a primary IAP (as
opposed to a static dataset that would be provided by a standard backup solution).
This whitepaper provides only one potential example of an IAP disaster recovery procedure; many
other options are possible, including restoration from a standard backup solution.
