HP IAP Procedure For Recovering Primary/Secondary SmartCells From Replica SmartCells Whitepaper
7
Clean-Up Steps
Caveat 1: The old cell IDs in the DB2 tables that reference the SmartCells with the failed hard drives
on the Primary IAP must be cleaned out. The purpose of cell IDs is to distinguish every SmartCell with
a unique ID.
The DB2 tables that must have the old cell IDs removed are:
1. CELLSTATE
2. SCQUARANTINE
3. IDTRACKER
4. SCAUTOREPROCESS
5. SCRENTENTION
Caveat 2: Since the persistent_atrributes.properties file is directly copied from the Replica
SmartCell, if the Replica IAP was not placed into production at the same time the Primary IAP was put
into production, the values in “ValidTimesHighLimit” and ValidTimesLowLimit” must be re-
calculated since this value reflects the time period the SmartCell data has been stored.
These values can be computed within reason. This is easiest if the TP directories have been fully
expressed and one can safely assume that the ArchiveDirectoryPeriod persistent attribute is
correct.
