EPS Ports on the Power Supply Shelf
The Power Supply Shelf has two external power supply ports. You can connect
one or two HP ProCurve zl PoE/PoE+ capable switches to provide PoE/PoE+
power as a primary or backup source. Each port receives the maximum power,
depending on which power supply is installed. Each EPS port is independent
of the other, if one of the power supplies fails the other can still provide EPS
power.
Port Status LEDs
The EPS port status LEDs on the Power Supply Shelf back panel are a
duplication of those on the front panel. For a description of these LEDs, see
Table 1-1 on page 1-3.
Power Connector
The Power Supply Shelf does not have a power switch; it is powered on when
connected to an active AC power source. The power supply J8712A automat-
ically adjusts to any voltage between 100-127 and 200-240 volts and either 50
or 60 Hz. The power supply J8713A only operates at 200-240 volts and either
50 or 60 Hz. The J9306A adjusts to any voltage between 110-127 and 200-240
volts. There are no voltage range settings required.
