XPInfo v19.00.00 Release Notes (T1789-96099, February 2011)

Fixes
XPInfo 19.01.00 includes the following fixes:
XPInfo on AIX now displays the correct volume group.
The XPInfo –e option on HP-UX 11.31 now displays the correct output.
XPInfo now displays correct disk mechanics for RAID1 in 24000 array types on AIX.
Known Issues
XPInfo 19.01.00 has the following known issues:
If you are using XP Performance Advisor AIX host agent, view the SLPR and CLPR information for
your XP disk arrays through XP Performance Advisor, as XPInfo for AIX host agent does not display
the CLPR and SLPR information.
If you are using XP Performance Advisor Solaris or HP-UX host agent, view the SLPR and CLPR in-
formation for your XP disk arrays through XP Performance Advisor, as XPInfo for these host agents
displays random CLPR and SLPR values (example of random values are 256, 122, or zero).
To view the SLPR and CLPR values through XP Performance Advisor:
1. On the XP Performance Advisor Home page, click Array View in the left pane.
2. Click the + sign for Arrays.
3. From the list of XP arrays that are monitored by XP Perf Advisor, click the + sign for the XP
array, for which you want to view the related SLPR and CLPR data.
4. Select LDEV from the list displayed.
5. On the Array View LDEV screen, select the Column Settings check box.
6. In the LDEV Column Settings list, select the check box for SLPR and CLPR.
7. In the LDEV table, click the LDEV ID column heading and provide the cu:ldev ID for which you
want to view the SLPR and CLPR data.
8. Click OK.
The corresponding SLPR and CLPR data for the cu:ldev ID is displayed under the respective column
headings (SLPR and CLPR) in the LDEV table.
Additional information
The —n option is no longer supported.
To run XPInfo on Sun Solaris, HP recommends that you label the drives using the FORMAT command.
XPInfo will display all the fields correctly if RMLIB is installed.
NOTE:
If RMLIB is not installed, the RAID type information, RAID level, and disk mechanics information
will be either incorrectly displayed or will not be displayed on the screen.
