1 HP XPInfo Release Notes Version: 28.00.00 Description HP XPInfo is a command-line utility provided with the HP XP7 Performance Advisor Software and Array Manager Software. It is used to obtain the configuration information of the logical unit numbers (LUNs) exposed to the XP or the XP7 disk arrays. This document describes the HP XPInfo 28.00.00 enhancements, fixes, limitations, and other additional information. IMPORTANT: HP XPInfo was called XPInfo/HP XP P9000Info in earlier versions.

• HP XPInfo does not display the beginning 3 in the serial number of an XP7 disk array. Only the five digit serial number is displayed. • HP XPInfo supports the display of nickname for LDEVs on XP and XP7 arrays, however this feature is not supported on OpenVMS operating systems • HP XPInfo supports UDEV on Linux platform. NOTE: The location of UDEV devices location must be specified in the /dev directory. The names for UDEV devices must begin with an sd.
• HP XPInfo fails to display the newly added LUNs, unless a rescan is done. • HP XPInfo does not display the SCSI Target ID of the device if you disable Legacy DSF in HP-UX 11iv3. If you run the xpinfo -o command when Legacy DSF is disabled, results are not displayed. Additional information HP XPInfo will display appropriate data in all the fields if the installed RMLIB version is compatible with that installed for the host agent.
