This document addresses the frequently asked questions on HP XP7 Performance Advisor Software
(HP XP7 Performance Advisor). These FAQs are compiled periodically and the document is available
at the following location: www.hp.com/go/PerformanceAdvisor-support-docs.

NOTE: In versions prior to v5.0, HP XP7 Performance Advisor is called XP Performance Advisor.
HP XP7 Performance Advisor log collection tool
The HP XP7 Performance Advisor log selection tool is an utility provided with HP XP7 Performance
Advisor. If you encounter issues with HP XP7 Performance Advisor that might require support
intervention, this utility can be used to collect data required for analysis when you reproduce the
issue. The log can be generated at the following different levels:
• Error
• All
• Debug
• Fatal
• Info
• Warn
• Off
The log details can be saved (compressed zip format) and provided to the HP XP7 Performance
Advisor Support team for further offline analysis of the issue. Once the log is provided, you can
set the log level as 'Off'.
