• For XP/P9500 disk arrays with concatenated parity groups, you might notice 4D+4D RAID
type instead of two 2D+2D concatenated parity groups in the Performance Estimator screen.

• While charting backend transfer metrics for DKAs or ACPs with concatenated RAID groups,
you might observe that the total write tracks do not match the sum of the individual DKA or
ACP metrics.

• An error log is displayed on the console of the AIX host agent in the following conditions:
HP XPWatch is active on Advanced Interactive eXecutive (AIX) v6.1.◦
◦ Multi-pathing (MPIO) is enabled on the AIX host agent.
◦ Parameters, dyntrk is set to yes and fc_error is set to fast_fail.
The error log is also displayed when you run the errpt –a command from the Kernel of the
AIX operating system. The following is an excerpt from the error log:

You can ignore the error log, as it does not impact the HP XPWatch activities or the output it
provides.

• HP XPWatch does not support apostrophe (') in the host group name.
ETA—: This will be fixed in PA 6.2 release.
• When you uninstall HP XP7 Performance Advisor on a management station, the contents in
the C:\windows\system32\config\Oracle directory does not get removed. Hence,
re-installation fails.
Workaround—Delete the C:\windows\system32\config\Oracle directory before
re-installing HP XP7 Performance Advisor on the management station. If you execute Install
Assist utility, an error is displayed.
• When you select “All Report type”, HP recommends that you should use one of the following
formats: PDF, HTML, or Docx over the RTF format.

• The HP XPWatch Linux x86_64 binary is meant only for RHEL 6.1 x86_64 or later. For all
other Linux x86_64 distributions, use HP XPWatch Linux binary.
• HP XP7 Performance Advisor installation is not supported on domain controller in Windows
Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows 7 platforms.
• In HP XPWatch, the CA Journal, CA Sync/Async Metrics are not available in CLI mode.
• You cannot plot multiple charts simultaneously at the Custom Group level charts. You must
plot one chart at a time.
ETA—: This will be fixed in PA 6.2 release.
• HP XPWatch and RealTime does not support THP Pool, Smart Pool, BC, Snapshots, and External
RG’s.

• When CA link is recovered from failure, the CA link status is not updated at the secondary
array in CA screen.
