1 HP XP7 Performance Advisor Software v6.1 Release Notes
This document describes the new features, enhancements, and fixes provided in the v6.1 release
of the HP XP7 Performance Advisor software.
Description
The HP XP7 Performance Advisor Software collects, monitors, and displays the in-depth performance
data of XP, P9000 and XP7 disk arrays. You can monitor the performance and utilization of
components, such as LDEV (Logical Device), CHIP (Client-Host Interface Processor), or CHA (Channel
Adapter), ACP (Array Control Processor), DKA (Disk Adapter), DKC (Disk Controller), or MP blades.
HP XP7 Performance Advisor includes HP XPWatch, a real-time troubleshooting tool that helps you
to identify the root cause of performance issues.
IMPORTANT: HP XP P9000Watch and HP XP P9000Sketch are renamed to HP XPWatch and
HP XPSketch. The respective binaries, commands, and the functionalities remain the same.

Supported XP, P9000 and XP7 disk arrays and firmware versions
Table 1 (page 3) lists the XP, P9000 and XP7 disk arrays and the firmware versions that HP XP7
Performance Advisor supports.

NOTE:
• If you upgrade to a firmware version that is not within the qualified range, the outband mode
of configuration data collection might fail.
Operating systems and JRE requirements
The list of operating systems supported by the HP XP7 Performance Advisor management station
and host systems is included in HP XP7 Performance Advisor Software OS Support Matrix available
on the HP XP7 Performance Advisor Software page.
In addition, the support matrix includes the supported IE (Internet Explorer) and JRE (Java Runtime
Environment) versions.
