HP XP7 Performance Advisor Software 6.1 Command-line User Interface Reference Guide

1 Overview
HP XP7 Performance Advisor is a graphical and command-line user interface that monitors real-time
performance of HP XP, P9000 and XP7 Disk Array products. The command-line user interface
(CLUI) allows you to monitor performance, set alarms, and configure host information using
commands and scripts. HP recommends that you use the available shell scripts to access commands
in the CLUI.
HP XP7 Performance Advisor supports RAID 6 (14D+2P) parity group.
CLUI for partially supported hosts
For some hosts (such as Linux), HP XP7 Performance Advisor can retrieve performance data, but
cannot obtain configuration information directly from the host. To offer some level of support, a
set of CLUI commands is provided for administrators to manually enter configuration information,
so that these hosts can still be used to monitor performance. For more information about using the
CLUI commands, see the UserHostConfig.pdf document available in the HP XP7 Performance
Advisor Software CD under Tools\ CmdLineInterface.
