5. Select one of the following as the Collection Schedule. By default, the collection is scheduled
for every Sunday at 00:00 hours:
• Hourly
• Daily
• Weekly
• Monthly
For more information on the above-mentioned collection schedules, see “Configuration collection
schedules” (page 57).
6. By default, the Collection Type is Outband, as HP XP7 Performance Advisor directly
collects data from the XP/XP7 disk array through the array SVP. Proceed to next step.
IMPORTANT: If SVPs on the XP disk arrays are accessible, HP recommends that you use the
outband mode of configuration data collection for a non P9500 disk array. HP XP7 Performance
Advisor receives accurate internal raw disk capacities from the non P9500 disk array (same
as displayed by Remote Web Console) when you collect configuration data through the
outband mode. For a P9500 disk array, both the inband and the outband mode of
configuration data collection provides the accurate usable capacity (same as displayed by
Remote Web Console).
