IMPORTANT:
• The new email notification settings that you provide are automatically updated in the server-
parameters.properties file. Hence, a manual reboot of the XP Performance Advisor man-
agement station is not required.
• Email Address is a mandatory field. You should provide a valid destination email address that
receives email notifications when alarms and reports are generated, or performance data collection
fail. You can also provide multiple email addresses by inserting a semi colon between the email
addresses, in the following format [e-mail];[e-mail];[e-mail]. Ensure that the
total count of characters in the Email Address field is not more than 512 characters.
• Report Name is a mandatory field, where you should provide a valid report name.
• The default values for the email settings are directly read from the serverparameters.prop-
erties file and displayed in the respective fields on the Email Settings screen. If you retain the
default values, XP Performance Advisor uses them for all the email notifications that are dispatched
to the intended recipients.
To configure email and alarm notification settings:
1. Click Settings in the left pane.
2. Select PA Settings.
The PA Settings screen appears.
