HP StorageWorks XP Performance Advisor Software v4.6 Release Notes (T1789-96097, June 2010)
• Help for every installation wizard dialog box: Direct access to the corresponding help file from
the installation wizard dialog box.
• Troubleshooting information on installation related issues: Issues and error messages related to
installation are added to the HP StorageWorks XP Performance Advisor Software Installation
Guide.
• Automatic verification of Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 or later: As a prerequisite check, the XP
Performance Advisor installation wizard automatically verifies if Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0
or later is installed on the management station. If it is not installed, the appropriate message appears
indicating that the required version is not available. When you click OK on the message dialog
box, the installation wizard automatically installs Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5 (recommended
version) on your management station.
• Option to test validity of the management station address and connectivity to command devices:
The XP Performance Advisor Windows host agent installation wizard enables you to test whether
the DNS or IP address of the management station that you provided is valid, and whether you are
able to present a command device to the host during the host agent installation.
NOTE:
These tests only help you verify if the details you provided are accurate. Even if the tests are not
successful, the host agent installation does not stop. You can rectify the errors, then proceed with
the installation, or complete the installation and resolve the errors later.
