In addition, the support matrix includes the supported Internet Explorer (IE) and Java Runtime
Environment (JRE) versions.
IMPORTANT:
You must install JRE before installing XP Performance Advisor and the host agents.
The management station and host systems support only 32-bit (x86) JRE versions on the 64-bit
Windows platforms.
Languages
XP Performance Advisor is available in the English language only.

XP Performance Advisor v4.6 includes the following new features:
Enhanced installation workflow
It includes the following new features:
• Installation and upgrade checklists: XP Performance Advisor provides the installation and upgrade
checklists that are available when you begin the installation or the upgrade process. These
checklists guide you through the installation or upgrade, initial collection of configuration, and
performance data.
NOTE:
• The installation and upgrade checklists are available starting with XP Performance Advisor
v4.6. Review the checklist and complete only those items that are applicable to your current
storage area networks setup. After you complete a particular item, select the adjacent check
box to mark it complete to indicate that you have verified all the items and are ready to install
or upgrade, and use XP Performance Advisor. Keep the checklist open till you complete the
installation or upgrade, and start using XP Performance Advisor.
• If you are installing or upgrading the product for the first time, HP recommends that you follow
the sequence of items mentioned in the checklist.
• Links to the related help topics are provided at the end of each checklist item. Click the link to
view more information on that particular prerequisite or task.
• Copies of the installation and upgrade checklists are also available in the <Installation
drive>:\HPSS\cs_help folder. You can also use %HPSS_HOME% at Start > Run to locate
the HPSS folder. It works only if the HPSS_HOME environment variable is configured on your
management station.
• Inline help for the installation wizard: Required and need-to-know information is displayed on the
installation wizard windows.
