2. In the XP Performance Advisor Home screen, click Support in the title pane.

3. Navigate to the Host Agents section. A list of host agents for supported operating platforms is
provided.
4. Click the link for the host agent you want to select and download the host agent .tar file to
your host.
5. Navigate to the XPInfo section and download the XPInfo software.
6. FTP both the XP Performance Advisor host agent .tar file and XPInfo software to the tmp directory,
or to a location of your choice on the remote host.
If required, you can also download and install the CLUI software, XPWatch, and XPSketch. For
more information on downloading and installing the above-mentioned utilities, see the respective
product documentation. For the documentation download details, see “Related

7. If not already done, install XPInfo on your host to verify whether the connectivity to the command
device is established. For more information, see “Verifying host connectivity to a command
device” on page 39.
It is important that you create and present a command device from an XP Disk Array to your host.
If it is not yet done, the corresponding XP RAID Manager Library version is not displayed in the
Host Information table, when you request for a host update from XP Performance Advisor after
the installation. For more information on communicating with hosts, see the HP StorageWorks
