SLPR Storage Logical Partition.
Partition of a RAID500 to which host ports (1 or more) are assigned, as well as
CLPRs (1 or more). SLPR0 will always exist (cannot be deleted). Sometimes, the
SLPR acronym includes an additional word. For example, Storage administrator
Logical Partition or Storage management Logical Partition, both mean the same.
The purpose of the SLPR is to allow multiple administrators to manage a subsystem
without risk of causing mistakes that can destroy another user's volumes, or
reduce other user's expected performance by using more resources (e.g. cache)
than they should.

Using ThP, you can operate with a global pool of LDEVs that are not assigned
to physical storage. The disk arrays add virtual capacity from the pool of LDEVs
as and when the data is written, and only at that time is physical capacity
assigned to LDEVs and used for storage.
Trap An SNMP agent initiates trap operations when R-SIMs occur, to send the R-SIMs
to the SNMP manager. An SNMP agent can be configured to deliver traps to
more than one SNMP manager.
