tension blade FCIP links

Allows connection between 10 GbE ports on a multi-protocol SAN extension blade and 1 GbE
ports on a 1606 extension SAN switch or multi-protocol SAN extension blade through an Ethernet
switch
• Port beaconing support
• Automatic assignment of slot-based licenses
• Access Gateway support on the HP StorageWorks 2408 FCoE converged network switch
• New parameter implemented in configurechassis command to allow adjustment of SFP
polling during high CPU load situations
NOTE:
For switches shipped from the factory with 6.3.1a Fabric OS installed, the following default
characteristics of the switch are revised:
• Virtual fabrics are enabled by default. See the Fabric OS Administrator's Guide for 6.3.0 for in-
formation on the configuration of VF. The following switches support virtual fabrics:
• DC SAN Backbone director (DCX)
• DC04 SAN director (DCX-4S)
• 8/40 SAN Switch (5100)
• 8/80 SAN Switch (5300)
• Increase maximum logins per port to 255
