Installing controller modules
1. Loosen the thumbscrews; press the latches downward.
2. Slide the controller into the enclosure as far as it will go (1).
3. Press the latches upward to engage the controller (2); turn the
thumbscrews finger-tight.
Removing I/O modules
1. Turn the thumbscrews until the screws disengage from the I/O
module.
2. Press both latches downward to disconnect the I/O module from
the midplane.
3. Pull the I/O module straight out of the enclosure.
Installing I/O modules
1. Loosen the thumbscrews; press the latches downward.
2. Slide the I/O module into the enclosure as far as it will go (1).
3. Press the latches upward to engage the I/O module (2); turn the
thumbscrews finger-tight.
Verifying component installation
• Reconnect cables and power on the system and associated data
host in the following order:
a. Drive enclosure first
b. Controller enclosure next
c. Data host last
• On the drive modules, check that the Online/Activity LED is
green. For 2.5-inch drives, this LED is on the left; for 3.5-inch
drives, this LED is on the bottom.
• On the power supply modules, check that the Input Power Source
Good LED (top) is on.
• On the controller and I/O modules, check that the OK LED
(back) illuminates green, indicating that the module has
completed initializing and is online.
