Installing and Configuring the HS-Series Agent 411
available disks. It is recommended for each subsystem that you use the Command
Console LUN (CCL) to communicate with the RAID subsystem. After you enter an access
device, the install will try to make contact with the RAID array through the given device.
If it can make contact, it will display some of the attributes of the RAID system and
ask if you want to add an entry into the storage.ini file for that RAID subsystem.
It will then ask you for the name of the RAID array and the monitoring interval. The
name that you give the install will be the name that is displayed on the SWCC client as
representing that subsystem. The monitoring interval is the length of time that the
SWCC agent takes between subsystem scans. It is recommended that the monitoring
interval be no less than 300 seconds (5 minutes).
If it cannot make contact with the RAID array, it will display a message stating that a
RAID subsystem could not be found and ask if you want to add another RAID
subsystem.
If you want to try another disk device, enter yes and enter another device.
