Loading the StorageWorks Software onto
the Hard Disk
The StorageWorks (SWCC) software consists of the RAID Array software installation
scripts, the support files, the Client, and the Agent. Installation and operation of the

approximately 4 M-bytes of permanent space on your hard disk to use the StorageWorks
software and an additional 2 Mbytes of temporary space on your hard disk for installation.
Loading the StorageWorks software on an SGI-Irix system requires the following major
steps:
1. Mounting the CD-ROM which contains the software.
2. Extracting the files from the file archive to a temporary storage area.
3. Executing the installation and configuration script.
