Setting the ALPA:

HSG60 >SET THIS_CONTROLLER PORT_1_AL_PA=71

HSG60 >SET THIS_CONTROLLER PORT_2_AL_PA=72

Setting the Port Topology:

HSG60>SET OTHER_CONTROLLER PORT_1_TOPOLOGY=LOOP_HARD

HSG60>SET OTHER_CONTROLLER PORT_2_TOPOLOGY=LOOP_HARD

Setting the SCSI Version:

HSG60>SET THIS_CONTROLLER SCSI_VERSION=SCSI-2

If the StorageWorks Command Console (SWCC) will be used, the HSG60 Command

Console LUN must be enabled.

HSG60>SET THIS_CONTROLLER COMMAND_CONSOLE_LUN

Once all of the changes have been made, restart both controllers as follows:

HSG60>RESTART OTHER_CONTROLLER

HSG60>RESTART THIS_CONTROLLER

Once both controllers have been restarted, the connection type must be set. First examine

the connections by typing:

HSG60>SHOW CONNECTIONS

In the following command substitute the [CONNECTIONNAME] with the names shown

in the output of the

SHOW CONNECTIONS command. Set the connections to SGI by

typing:

HSG60>SET [CONNECTIONNAME] OPERATING __SYSTEM =SGI

Repeat the command for each connection shown.

Fabric Setup

Ensure that the HSG60 controllers have been set correctly for fabric. Compare the settings

displayed by the CLI with those in Table 1–3. The current settings can be obtained with

the command:
